WHAT IS THE POWERHOCKEY CUP?

The Powerhockey Cup is the official power wheelchair floor hockey tournament of the North American PowerHockey Association (NAPHA) featuring teams from the United States and Canada. The Philadelphia Flyers PowerPlay are excited to be hosting the 2025 Powerhockey Cup. Learn more about the Powerhockey Cup.

WHAT IS POWERHOCKEY?

Powerhockey is wheelchair floor hockey specifically for persons requiring the use of a power wheelchair in their daily lives. Powerhockey is commonly played on a basketball court with all-plastic hockey sticks and a plastic ball substituted for a puck. The primary source of strength and speed involved in the sport comes from the power wheelchair. Learn more about Powerhockey.

WHAT ARE THE RULES OF POWERHOCKEY?

The Powerhockey Cup is played under the rules and regulations of the North American PowerHockey Association (NAPHA). View the NAPHA official tournament rule book.

WHEN IS THE 2025 POWERHOCKEY CUP?

The 2025 Powerhockey Cup will start on Friday, August 1 and conclude on Monday, August 4. A total of 15 games will be played over four days: five games will be played on Friday, five games on Saturday, three games on Sunday, and two games on Monday. The Opening Ceremony will begin on Friday at 12PM and the Championship game will be played on Monday at 1PM. View the full 2025 Powerhockey Cup schedule.

WHERE IS THE 2025 POWERHOCKEY CUP TAKING PLACE?

The 2025 Powerhockey Cup will be at Neumann University in Aston, PA. All games will be played in the Bruder Life Center gym. Neumann is less than 30 minutes away from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Wilmington, Delaware. Learn more and get directions to Neumann University.

WHO IS PARTICIPATING IN THE 2025 POWERHOCKEY CUP?

The 2025 Powerhockey Cup will feature five teams from the United States and Canada: Michigan Mustangs, Powerhockey Ottawa, Toronto Toros, and two Philadelphia Flyers PowerPlay teams, Team Black and Team Orange.

HOW CAN I WATCH THE 2025 POWERHOCKEY CUP?

See all the 2025 Powerhockey Cup action in person at Neumann University’s Bruder Life Center gym on August 1–4. If you are unable to attend in person, all 2025 Powerhockey Cup games will be live streamed on YouTube.

IS THE EVENT FREE TO ATTEND?

Yes, the 2025 Powerhockey Cup is free and open to the public. Come out and cheer us on!

CAN I BECOME A SPONSOR FOR THE EVENT?
